opportunities to be on both sides of influence: to be influenced and to be
influential. Pray more for the latter!
Jesus, who Himself was also called the
Light of the World, names those who believe in Him as being the light of the
world, commissioned with being influential for the cause of the kingdom. Too many Christians today seem to ignore this
responsibility. I thought it might be a
good idea to plainly and simply break down what this means for kids to be able
to understand as early as possible.
Remind kids of the words to this song
when you’re taking them to school or daycare, as a reminder to be confidently
influential. Also, remind them of the
words to this song when conversations first begin to pop up about ministry and
evangelism, so that they will know how much we want to share the love of Christ
with others.
